In this Issue Moritz Erian, a formally unknown videographer based in Cologne, Germany shows a collection of videopieces. Using a certain narrative way of cutting, supported by the fact that there is no music put on his clips at all gives each of them a great view from behind the bushes to a hidden world.

The material for these pieces has been accumulated over the course of the last three years. Some of it as side products of commissioned works, some of it by plain chance. The one unifying thing about all of it is the way the subjects are treated. It is this neutrally innocent, yet severely observing look at the things we all know so perfectly, that makes them appear so new, wonderful and special.
